Beads change how a panel hangs
Weight collects wherever the beads sit. A row of wooden beads along one shoulder pulls that section taut and stops the cords drifting apart; brass bells on the vintage owl do the same job at the hem and keep the fringe from curling. Beads and bells collect dust faster than bare cord does. A hair dryer on cool, or a vacuum brush on its lowest setting, clears it without snagging a knot. Clean cotton with cool water and blot it dry — never soak a piece with wooden components, because wet wood can bleed a tannin mark into pale cord. Keep it out of direct sun.
