Cotton asks very little. Dust with a soft brush or a vacuum on low suction, and spot-clean marks with cool water and a cloth. Keep the piece out of direct sun if you want the ecru to stay ecru. Anything washable goes in cold — 86 °F or below — and dries flat, never in a dryer. Fringe can be combed straight with your fingers.

Wie viel Garn benötigen Sie?

Als Faustregel gilt: Die verwendete Garnspule sollte das Vier- bis Sechsfache der Gesamtlänge des Makramee-Modells messen, das Sie gestalten möchten.
Einige Beispiele:
Eine klassische Blumenampel benötigt rund 19 m Garn.
Ein mittelgroßer Makramee Wandbehang benötigt rund 37 bis 45 m Garn.
Ausführliche Berechnung:
1. Ermitteln Sie zuerst die Anzahl der Schnüre für die Breite Ihres Makramees → Projektbreite / (3 x Garndurchmesser)
2. Berechnen Sie anschließend die benötigte Garnlänge so:
- für Standardknoten → Projektlänge x 4
- für feste Knoten → Projektlänge x 6
Wenn Sie das Garn wie bei einem Wandbehang in der Mitte um den Holzstab legen, verdoppeln Sie die erhaltene Länge und rechnen Sie 5 cm Zugabe für den Anfangsknoten hinzu.
Für ein möglichst genaues Ergebnis empfehlen wir, mehrere Proben mit den verschiedenen Knotenmustern Ihres Projekts anzufertigen, um die benötigte Garnlänge je Knotenart zu bestimmen.
3. Berechnen Sie die insgesamt benötigte Garnlänge so → Anzahl der Schnüre x Garnlänge
Rechenbeispiel:
Nehmen wir das Beispiel eines Makramee Wandbehangs mit den Maßen 24 cm Breite x 39,5 cm Länge aus einem Garn mit 4 mm Durchmesser und Standardknoten:
Breite = 24 / (3 x 0,4) = 20. Sie verwenden also 20 Schnüre mit 4 mm über die Breite.
Länge = (40 x 4) x 2 + 5 = 325. Sie verwenden also Schnüre von 325 cm Länge, das sind 3,25 m.
Sie benötigen somit 20 Schnüre à 3,25 m für Ihren Makramee Wandbehang.
Gesamtbedarf an Garn = 20 x 3,25 = 65 m
